Knitted by hand in a warm grey blend of organic cotton and merino wool, the Friends jumper is a chunky crew neck from Jasmin Khezri’s Zürich capsule collection. Its motifs recall cave drawings and archaic glyphs: birds, figures and signs set in large, flat shapes across the front and back.
On the front, a large bird in red and deep burgundy stripes stands beside a cream figure with a small red zigzag at its neck. A teal form rises towards the shoulder, and a block of red sits near the collar. The back has its own set of shapes: a red framed panel in burgundy and teal, a cream square, a dark brown silhouette and a black line that runs like a horizon across the lower body. The motifs are knitted into the fabric, and the finer lines and accents are then embroidered by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
The rib collar is flecked with rust orange, while the hem and cuffs are knitted in a pale ice blue. Dropped shoulders and full balloon sleeves give the jumper a relaxed, generous shape, gathered in at the wrists by deep ribbed cuffs. The body ends just above the hip.
Merino gives the yarn warmth and spring, and the organic cotton keeps it breathable and soft against the skin.
